The short answer is “yes.” The Bible says not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…but exhorting one other… (Heb 10:25.) Your Church attendance should benefit your spiritual journey. Your Church attendance may benefit another person’s spiritual journey. The question isn’t “should I go to Church? But “Where should I go to Church?”
Sadly there is no perfect church. Perhaps this is because Churches have imperfect people in them. Some Churches stray quite far from the will of God. This is evidenced by the words of Jesus in the letters to the seven Churches in the book of Revelation.
Nevertheless, in addition to your personal time of prayer and Bible study, Church attendance will benefit you.
Jesus said:
As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete. (Luke 6:47-49)
